British Columbia is building links to countries with growing economies.

• Emerging markets (Russia, Brazil, United Arab Emirates) are becoming a greater force and influencer in the global economy.
• In 2005, the largest emerging market economies (China, India, Russia, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Turkey) were only 20% of the size of the G7 economies. By 2050, they are expected to be 25% larger than the G7.
